nye party guide.

happy new years eve!

hosting a shindig tonight? well, we have your guide to being the hostess with the mostess! our nye party guide is sure to make any party go off without a hitch!

nye party guide

1. champagne.champagne. champagne. need we say more? champagne {or champs as we call it} is a must have for any party and it makes everything a bit fancier. tip: don't want to deal with the potential of broken glass? not to fret, try plastic like the ones pictured here!

2. make a signature cocktail. this provides some variety and the chance for guests to try a new drink. tip: purchase a small chalkboard from michaels where you can write the contents of the drink on. people will love seeing how you made it and trying it at home themselves!

3. diy on the decor. its much cheaper than buying it in the store, and so easy! check out etsy and pinterest for inspiration. tip: love these kate spade coasters? purchase some cork ones at the drug store and spray paint them gold!

4. make a faux photo booth where guests can take pictures with props. these make for the best candid photos and everyone is sure to have had a few drinks by then {drunk photos are always better}. tip: the next day, email everyone their pictures and post to a shared photo album on facebook or shutterfly, for all guests to enjoy!

5. get a mani. your hands are the first thing people will notice, especially since you'll be serving drinks and food. plus who wouldn't want add some more glitz to their wardrobe that will last all week!? tip: do your own mani to save $. buy glitter in the tube from any craft store. use a taupe, light metallic, or black polish to cover your entire nail. use a watercolor brush to lightly dust the tips of your nails with glitter. finish with a top coat to seal in the sparkle. voila, your nails went from drab to glam in minutes!

last but not least, don't forget to sparkle, darling! your guests will have a great time as long as they are with you :)

happy new year!
