i am obsessed with this denim jacket. it's a girlfriend style so it's meant to be a bigger more loose fit. i love it because for layering it's perfect. i can throw it over a chunky knit and still not feel squeezed in. i have already worn it numerous ways - over a dress, with a sweater, a hooded sweatshirt for a more casual layered look, but really the possibilities are endless.

{riding mopeds on the beach was so fun!}

this weekend the hubs and i decided to get out of the city and start exploring washington. our first weekend pit stop was the coast. specifically long beach. it was super last minute but i was able to find the coolest hotel. seriously it was amazing. think reclaimed wood, exposed pipes, mason jars, wooden crates, concrete floors, free beach cruisers to ride on the beach and so much more. if you are ever wanting a quick getaway on the coast check out adrift hotel + spa. {tip: we were able to get a discounted rate because we booked less than 48 hours before our stay.}

they also have a restaurant on the top floor that looks out onto the ocean and has amazing food and to make things better they have live music on friday and saturday nights! i obviously convinced my husband to get multiple things off the menu because everything sounded so good and i couldn't just pick one thing and my favorite was the mac and cheese with pork belly. {literally melted in my mouth}

besides just being able to relax one of my favorite parts of the weekend was renting mopeds and being able to ride on the sand. it was so cool to be able to literally be on the beach cruising around. we had an absolute blast doing that.

i grew up at the beach so i was really excited to see what the washington coast had to offer and although it was completely different than what i am used to it was absolutely gorgeous and totally reminded me of home. we will definitely be going to back and staying at the adrift again.
